Similar to how a car stays warm after a long drive, the body remains in a heighted metabolic state after particular types of exercise. 1. Workout early in the day
2. Although the Afterburn Effect™ occurs post aerobic exercise, studies show it is higher after high intensity (anaerobic) exercise as well as the duration of exercise bouts
3. Be consistent with your training as the cumulative effect is even more relevant
4. Studies show the Afterburn Effect™ exists up to 38-hours post-exercise, so don't let more than two days go by between exercise bouts in order to maximize the cumulative effect
